We went to the tree lighting tonight. The boys loved it! They played one of Nick's favorite songs and he was so excited. The boys danced and sang and had so much fun. I am looking forward to all of the fun holiday activities for the kids this year.

Aaron saw Dr O this morning. He was in such a good mood. Dr O couldn't believe how alert he was today. He wanted to talk about maybe trying to take him off one of seizure meds since he is on 5 different ones. I almost cried. He is doing so well and I don't want to take a chance. It took us so long to get them somewhat under control. Luckily I have great Drs that value my input. We talked about it and I expressed my concerns and we are not going to change anything. I am so thankful for my group of drs. I know so many other families that have to go to Indy or Ohio to get good care. I couldn't ask for a better team of Drs to take care of Aaron.

Keagan went to the ENT for a hearing test. He passed the test!!! After talking with the Audiologist she said he probably has Auditory Processing Disorder and or Language Processing Disorder. He can't be officially tested until the age of 8 due to the testing material. While we were going through the signs and symptoms Keagan met every single one. He works so hard and struggles so much with school. We are doing lots of research so hopefully we can help make school a little easier for him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!!
Aaron is 6 today!! So thankful for this day to celebrate with such a sweet little boy. It has been a rough year. There were many times we did not think we would make it his birthday. Sitting in the ICU watching all of the monitors, his heart rate in the 40's, flashing APNEA, sats dropping, him turning blue, seizures that are hard to stop once they start, body temp 91 degrees, talk of ventilators, Ativan, Diastat, ambulance rides, stress dosing and countless Dr appointments. I am so thankful for this day. He is a fighter and a strong little boy. I thank God every day for allowing me to spend more time with this amazing little angel. He is my little super hero. No matter what he has to endure he is always full of smiles. I am so excited to celebrate this special day with him and pray for many more days. Happy birthday sweetheart. I love you!!

Aaron's party

Aaron had his birthday party today. He had GREAT time. He was in such a good mood and was crawling all over the house. He loved the sounds of his balloons, especially the one that sang Happy Birthday. He was so cute today. He laughed when we sang to him and he liked opening his gifts. He was full of giggles and smiles!! This was such a great party and a very special day. There were times over the last year we weren't sure we would make it to this day. It was a day to celebrate!! I am so thankful for another year!!
He had a Mickey Mouse party this year. He loved the huge Mickey and Minnie!! He was in the best mood ever!! He was snuggled, kissed and cuddled by the ones that truly love him!! It was wonderful to see him interacting with everyone. I will remember this day forever!

Fall assessment
Keagan got his Fall Assessment today. I am so proud of him. He is doing so well. He still has a lot of areas we need to work on but he has come so far. This is one determined little boy. He tries so hard at everything he does. He NEVER gives up. I have learned so much from this precious little boy. Love him!!!! I made some posters to help him learn his letters. He is really struggling learning all of them.

painting pumpkins
We painted pumpkins today. The boys had so much fun. Nicholas did his as a Skylander and Keagan painted different pictures on his pumpkin. I made pumpkins for the boys that looked like ninjas.
