A special little boy

Taevon is such a special little boy. He has endured more than anyone I know and has come through it all full of smiles.

Here is a little bit about his past. He was brought into the ER at 2 months old due to seizures. Upon examination these seizures were found to be secondary to a closed head injury that was found to be consistent with non accidental trauma. This sweet little boy was diagnosed with bilateral subdural hematomas, seizures, bilateral rib fractures, left femoral and tibial fractures, multiple skull fractures, closed head injury, and bilateral retinal hemorrhages. He was placed on life support and the family was told that he would need a lot of care. They asked that he be removed from life support. The Dr told them he would not live and the family still wished he be taken off. Once extubated this little miracle began to breathe on his own! He spent a long time in the hospital and was placed with a foster family. He was later diagnosed as legally blind, as having spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, microcephaly and had to have a feeding tube placed due to aspiration. We were lucky enough to have an adoption recruiter ask us to adopt this amazing little boy. He is an angel!

I can't wait to see what I will learn from this adorable little boy!
